Offline CHEER # 1 - 17 points 11 rebounds (NO further explanation needed) Offline Dev deserves a lot of praise for what she's done this year. Her hard work and talent helped bump another amazing player (Chassidy) out of the starting lineup. That's a testament to how much depth this team has.
CONGRATULATIONS COACH DRU JOYCE III
THREE Cheers for Deva' Nyar
CHEER # 2 - Nice article in today's PG about last night's game (by Sam Werner) - Sam said about April - "She does things that don't show up in the score sheet" - mentioned the charge that April took at the end of the game - Deva' Nyar said "That was the game winner right there" - Kudos to her for putting that one out there and deflecting some praise..
CHEER # 3 - Here is something else that DID NOT "show up in the box score" - NOR did it show up in the article - One of Rhode Island's players Wilson - opened the game with a pair of threes that might have been NBA threes - so Coach Burt changed the defense a little and put Workman on her (for the most part) - Wilson winds up shooting 3-13 for the night. Rhode Island tried using Wilson to guard Workman - Wilson FOULS OUT - (although Deva'Nyar didn't draw all 5 of them) In the first quarter Rhode Island committed ZERO fouls!! So talk about someone "taking another player OUT OF THE GAME - (literally and figuratively) Workman "took her out of the game!!!"
Now keep it going!!!! - Beat St. Joes!!!!
Re: THREE Cheers for Deva' Nyar
I know April is up for national recognition as a top point guard but Dev deserves just as much credit for how and why this team is 22-2.
