U Conn

While NOT ignoring the fact that there is a game against Central Michigan coming up -  at one point CMU was #40 in the RPI Rankings so they are a tough foe.

Thought I would throw a few facts/points out there about U CONN

LAST year was "the year to get them" when they "ONLY" made it to the Final Four AND LOST ONE GAME -  THAT team was replacing 3 players who went 1-2-3 in the WNBA Draft -  THIS year they only have to replace one player (who was probably the fifth best player on the team )- they have TWO Transfers eligible for the first time plus some freshmen.

Notre Dame (#2 at the time led them after 3 quarters by 8 - they turned it on won by 9 - Outscored the second best team in the country by 17 points in the 4th quarter.  This was two weeks ago.

When DU played them in the tournament - despite the margin of victory -  It may have been their SECOND Toughest Game out of 6 -  DU was competetive for a quarter and a half -  In their third game UConn was up like 41-12 at the half --  In the final Syracuse had a 17-0 run towards the end of the 3rd quarter and start of the 4th - they were probably down by more than 40 at that time.

In a way I almost wish the game was ON THEIR FLOOR - don't know if the Toronto site was to give Halle and Anne-Pier a chance to play a game in their home land -  BUT WHY NOT LET THE LADIES ENJOY THE FULL U-CONN EXPERIENCE -  REALLY LARGE CROWD - ONCE IN A LIFETIME ATMOSPHERE ETC.

For the most part they limit their roster to 10 or 11 - Geno feels having 14 is unfair to some of them because they can't get full practice time or enough playing time - so even when he goes to "the end of his bench"  it COULD be a player who will be in the WNBA at some point.

Duquesne was the only team that had a lead against UConn at any point in that entire postseason.
