Building on the praise given the women's team in Paul Zeise's Post-Gazette article, the AP Women's Poll released today has the Dukes listed among others receiving votes. The Dukes earned 3 points from the voters and would be ranked # 34 in all of D-1. I note that Delaware, whom the Dukes beat at the Palumbo, received 15 points. Nice article on yesterday's game. I hope everyone's predictions come true.
Orsi actually played well yesterday. Strong defensively. Had great open looks, but couldn't get her shot to fall. I was watching her specifically and she only took on ill-advised shot IMO. She got hurt in the second half (shoulder), but came back and played. So that was good.
