Er...89-88 We had them all the way,98-88OT 20 wins Since he already has transferred once and if he doesn’t go D2 will he have 1 year and graduate 5th year if goes D-1? First, I hope Ritter understands that I'm not posting this to poke him. Zac has interest in Dukes, plus he is a good writer. AAAAH, there’s good news today! High hopes for Duquesne this year, this should be fun to watch. This Eric Williams, Jr. really seems to have his focus. Plus Coach said he is 6-6 1/2 almost 6-7. PS I remember Norman playing a rover type position for the Suppicators and just running down everything and stealing base hits from the opposition. Gumby aka The People's Choice aka The Maharaja and numerous other self proclaimed monikers was a good all around athlete too who I later had on one of my flag football teams! I worked with Gumby for a number of years, he never lost that swagger . For all his bluster he is a really nice man. It seems the 11 player rotation will be more meaningful and the match ups, at least to me. I am looking forward to teams being kept honest guarding Lewis II , since the other options KD has will eliminate the doubles and chasers defense he saw last year. When we had so little up front TV played his heart out, best of luck to that young man,. RIP Lived those days when we jeered the tiny Pitt crowd at the Steel Bowl and so intimidated the Pitt band with a loud Eat ** Pitt yell during the key time in their fight song that they stopped playing the song.We were the basketball news at that time but as you say it's a "what have you done for me lately" time in regards to media coverage. But then again, at least we don't have to deal with Bob Smizik's trash. We indeed hated Smizik, I once stopped him in the Arena and said, “Bob, can’t you be a little more fair when you write about Duquesne?” , he said he always was, so in my mid-twenties cool said. ” Smizz , just don’t be a jagg off!” It is refreshing to look at site and always hear and read positive stories and news bits, I can’t seem to wait for this season to begin. INTERESTING thing about Rich Cotten - Cinicola used to "start" him for a while - Hoped he would win the opening tip - FIRST whistle - COTTEN OUT - GAMBRIDGE IN - scenario repeated at start of second half (as this was before the alternate possession rule. Richard had great games in practice but didn’t perform as well during the games that counted, Donnie came on in his Senior year and played a lot of tough minutes against some strong power players, Lewis Brown of UNLV (Steel Bowl) Corodizine and Roboczine of DePaul. Gumby also used the Mike Rice Dirty Tricks like standing on rebounders feet and many other annoying things to throw off their game! Both fun guys to watch of that NCCA team...... Did he sign with another team yet? It keeps getting better all the time! Start winning 20 plus a year and get into post season play and the fans will come, students included. Win on TV and folks will show up to get the game experience, atmosphere has to evolve to be real. Sign of KD going for the Jugular? After Davidson loss KD said “we have to recruit out a$$ off” Thanks Phildog and I dont kno how but completely forgot about Oscar Jackson! I didn't really see Strompel and was little when I saw Somerset against Army and my first basketball game. I have BB high on my list too and wholeheartedly agree with you. Thanks for the update and your list BB had about a 9 inch vertical leap, one night he is near the basket baseline doing about 3 head fakes finally gets the defender to bite and hits the 5 footer. The ref calls a travel ( we used to call it up and down ) and me and my buddies start screaming “ Hey ref, his feet never left ground!! Bringing a laugh to all fans sitting near us who agreed he never did jump much. He was fun to watch and I hear he is doing well these days. Thanks for the updates everyone and I especially appreciate Duke81 and Jim Tucker reference! Maybe the most underrated great old Duke! Congrats to Aaron and in my top 5 guards that I saw play since the 60s! Judge, He is going to one of Mike James old teams, happy for him. Question answered....Sincere Carry is on athletic scholarship, not a walk on. Looks to me like a potential under recruited gem ‘ a la Eric Williams, Jr. ‘ Only makes me wonder what would have happened if Amodio had gone after Hurley before URI did. Probably would have turned him down based on what we know. Huley's wife was gagging at the thought of moving to Pittsburgh last month, so I doubt we could have gotten him. Coach is pretty close to having a team of all his own recruits. Hey Rick,
CONGRATULATIONS COACH DRU JOYCE III

I see consist rebound numbers and points when he plays a more fresh 25-28 min and there are 3 other scorers on the floor.

I remember him taking over games as a Duke, like at Radnor when he just shredded them in the 2nd half for the road win.
