Stony Brook and Rider are the other 2 teams the Dukes will host. Decent mix, would be nice to get a P5 road win. Could use another P5 or quality road game to boost up SOS. After last years final 4, does P5 really mean as much? It's not so much P5 as compared to the Dukes' record against Quad 1 and Quad 2 teams (most of these teams would be members of the Top 7 conferences (P5, plus Big East plus Mountain West). Here is the criteria from last year: Nice👍 last year the Dukes got skipped on the Saturday CBS or NBC sports A10 national games.Hopefully these expectations can get the Dukes more national exposure. Go Dukes Walk on players show promise. Bottom line top to bottom makes a formidable team. In house scrimmages should also be at a high level which will no doubt benefit the Dukes come game time . The Bottomline-a NCAA tournament bid.I been waiting since 1977 and for alot of us is time is running out. Don't I know it!!!! Time is indeed running out my friend. Go Dukes👍 Hey Mr legal expert. The federal statute is what it is. If NC State wants to take the chance of litigation so be it. Oh yeah Dambrot, the AD & the University should be reporting a player’s confidential information to this board. Sorry not an opinion just the facts. FEDERAL STATUTE It was ewsy enough to figure out that Dusan resumed light on-court activities in February. I haven't been able to find a mention of a rehab setback since then. That has to be a good sign. H.I.P.P.A It’s obviously a medical condition & Dusan has no obligation to provide any medical or rehabilitation progress to reporters. Can he submit to a University Orthopedic Surgeon prior to both parties agreeing to a scholarship. Yes. But the University would never or should they provide Dusans medical history. Let’s hope he is fully recovered from this brutal injury. Final note , great pick to Dambrot & staff. Go Dukes. I like this kid. Dambrots offensive scheme needs a slasher. Dukes offensive scheme very predictable. Throw into the post with an undersized center, kick out to the 4 players standing around & hope the 3 goes down. The two Lasalle twins with guards that attack the basket definitely gives the Dukes a broader offensive scheme. I do agree with everybody on this board that a center is the #1 priority. As long as Dambrot or Joyce are coaching at Duquesne Bronny maybe a Duke down the road. Lebron is a helicopter dad. Good luck to the USC head coach. The circus begins in Trojan land. I read that coaches are reluctant to talk about recruits unless That makes sense Econ69. Unless the kid post on “free at last” twitter, coaches, especially mid major coaches should & will remain reluctant in fear of a 12 midnight NIL offer. I live 200 miles away from campus and I know as much as anyone on this board which is nothing about the Dukes Yes indeed STEW it’s called CLK😂 Big get for the Dukes Maybe Savrasov’s jersey number will #71 just like the guy across Forbes Ave that skates for the Penguins. Great pickup👍 Just read on ESPN that WVU just landed Edwards of Syracuse ranked #3. Recently WVU also landed top point guard from Arizona. In article the NIL money came from the Country Road Trust funded by a millionaire. Mid Majors have a difficult time recruiting against Power 5 schools. Now add Trusts funded by rich alumni. The reality of the current portal recruiting game & NIL money is that the Dukes should be judged within the A10 & not nationally(power 5)based on their NIL budget. Hopefully Duquesne is ranked at least top 6 in the A10 NIL budget funds. Also saw Spears entered the portal. Whatever team takes him good luck. Not exactly a team player. Good point guards distribute the ball. Dambrot needs a big time point guard. In regard to the twins I initially was not impressed with the signing by Dambrot & staff. In fact I commented my opinion to Pistol in a previous post. Guess what I was wrong big time. Went to ESPN mens college basketball Lasalle games & box scores. The twins put up solid numbers of points & rebounds against a strong pre conference schedule. Look what they did against the Dukes. My conclusion was that Quesenberry like Spears of last season not exactly was assist first shoot later. Hopefully, my reassessment is correct of this recent portal pickup. Lesson to myself & this board, research before one fires from the hip. Mea culpa Coach Dambrot. Thanks Ironduke, I for one appreciate this. Some of the original BS that was posted here was way out of line. And I don't mean you or anyone who had legitimate questions about whether this was a good basketball move by the Dukes. I mean those who impugned the twins' reasons, motivations and characters without knowing spit about them. I wonder if we'll ever see those apologies. Mike R when you’re wrong you’re wrong. Go Dukes In regard to the twins I initially was not impressed with the signing by Dambrot & staff. In fact I commented my opinion to Pistol in a previous post. Guess what I was wrong big time. Lesson to myself & this board, research before one fires from the hip. Mea culpa Coach Dambrot. I think Mcgriff got a raw deal. But in fairness to Coach Dambrot maybe he knew Mcgriff was entering the portal halfway during the season. Who knows. But I liked this kid over the other two SMALL sized point guards who were a defensive liability over the pick & roll at the elbow. Please get a point guard over 5”8😤 Thanks CLK, do you see these guys at the 3 or the 4? I think this is a step up from RJG though. I like it. Pistol not feeling it. Don’t have faith in the coaching staff to turn the twins into offensive juggernauts.Agree about RJ Gunner. Still waiting on a point guard over 5’8. Pick & roll has killed Dambrot over the years with small point guards. Don’t blame Mcgriff for leaving. Need to see more thru the portal. CLK thanks for your efforts👍 Both posts above outline the problems that the future holds for all non P-5 Conferences in regard to postseason tournament births. In reality the P-5 with the help of the pathetic parasitic NCAA has legislated against an abundance of non P-5 programs in the Tournament, to ensure even mediocre P-5 teams are included. The "NET" rankings were very specifically devised to reward P-5 schools for playing a large number of Quad-1 and Quad-2 opponents each year, which they do automatically in their own conferences. Non P-5 schools are seldom even granted the privilege of playing one game against the higher ranked P-5 teams, and if they do, it will be with a weaker non-P-5 visiting a powerful p-5 team. It is like gerrymandering political districts. They are designed so that only one side can win! The NCAA cares not at all about non-football schools and would readily drop to its knees before any P-5 school, because if the NCAA becomes anything other than a pathetic tool of the P-5, they will simply be eliminated, and their lavish salaries will soon be reduced or eliminated. Ironically, once the p-5 schools quit sharing the profits with the NCAA, and tell them to get lost, the NCAA will have only the non P-5 schools as a source of revenue! Great point Levon. I did hear from a very reliable source that many of the non power 5 commissioners are weak in the presence of power 5 commissioners at the annual meetings. Yes the power 5 has the majority of leverage. The non power 5 commissioners need a counter plan or threat to gain some leverage come March when the designated committee hands out bids to the big dance. Even if the NCAA expands March Madness the more power 5 teams will simply get their ticket punched. Maybe the non powers focus on an NIT tournament format. Better yet a Super Bowl game at the end. Power 5 vs NIT. Everybody loves the underdog. Again can’t have weak commissioners begging for crumbs. Don’t think so. Frank Martin, Archie Miller Dayton Bonnie’s & VCU. But you maybe right. Reason power 5 BS. As of sweet 16 Big 10 & SEC done. Problem both conferences get 8 bids. A10 has to figure out scheduling pre conference games. I think the A10 has some very good coaches. Hopefully, a 1 bid conference is not the norm. Just watched Jay Wright on pardon the interruption. Wright a great coach without a doubt. Asked about playing in the big dance certain teams you face must require changing your strategy based upon matchups.Coach Dambrot pay attention. If the same old same continues during a crucial game next season based upon matchups time to retire. Agree Pistol. Good news portal equals free agency. Look at Pitt this year impressive. Give me 24 year olds against 19 year olds. Look at Duke v Tenn last night. DUKE had 5 stars vs the grown men of Tennessee. No match. It’s all up to Dambrot & staff to keep the few key players and get a BIG point guard, penetrating guards & small forwards. Finally bigs that can finish low. Look at the box score today. No need to call out any players. If next year fails Duquesne will be in search of another head coach. Ground Hogs day at the bluff. Ironic that VMI is on the list with the same time period … 1977 to today, considering that was the team that beat the Dukes in the 1977 tournament 66-73. Box & one that’s funny but sooo true. I thought Duquesne had the monopoly on the curse of Dudey Moore. 4 more years without a bid to the Big dance gets the Dukes to the coveted Golden Jubilee award . Maybe the athletic department gives out a 50 year coin to the long suffering season ticket holders. Hopefully, everyone on this board is still around.😂 Win or lose 27,500.00 entry fee cheap & stupid. Can’t disagree for the Dukes signing up for peanuts. WARNING do not sign up for FLO App. 1 month turns into year subscription. Hopefully Dambrot gets the Dukes to ESPN. II semis & finals. Another stupid move by the President, AD & Dambrot. NOT. 🤣😂😅Go Duquesne 👍 I suspect you were not an entrepreneur. Very Bunyak response & bitter. Have a nice life. Go Duquesne University. Hardly the response of an idiot. Gourmley & Harper are entrepreneurs now? No one can deny that the failure of this program dating back to 1977 is institutional. Gourmley since 2016, Harper since 2015. They need to own their parts of the failure. They are the leaders. Bitter, bitter bitter.

Last year, the entire A10 conference was only able to play a total of 30 Quad 1 games; these games are very hard to schedule. Unfortunately, the A10 finished 3-27 in these Quad 1 games. Unless your A10 team is a near lock to be a Top 75 team (VCU and maybe Dayton/Saint Louis fell into this category last year), why would a top program agree to play you since it's only going to give you at best a Quad 3 win or at worse, a Quad 3/4 loss? Very little upside with a win and a lot of downside with a loss.
Here was the Dukes Quad breakdown:
Dukes finished at #137 in the NET (so a win against the Dukes only got our opponent a Quad 3 win).

Also, why didn't PSN simply ask the player for a detailed update on his rehab progress & likely availability when he came to visit?

Apparently, they can not hire a basketball coach who can win a first round A-10 game. And it is quite a stretch to call a 3,500 seat gym state of the art. Better than Palumbo, state of the art is laughable. The basketball program is an institutional failure. The President and Athletic Director the last time I looked worked for Duquesne.
Oh and enrollment is steadily decreasing (covid aside). Plus, they are having major problems attracting any out of state students. Congrats on a rich person handing them $55 million.
I’m not an entrepreneur either. I’m just correct in that fact that this is an institutional failure. Any good entrepreneur would know that the buck stops with the leaders.
