In the portal right now there is an average of 4 1/2 players for each of the 353 Div. 1 teams. I think it will easily reach 5 per team before we're done.

WOW! Mean and clueless

I shudder at the thought of recruits and potential recruits reading this board. Some of you folks really need to dial back on the negativity. It's not good for anyone, including yourselves.

Getting him was essential.   He can take Spears spot.
When one comes in from a JUCO, does that count as a transfer, like if he can from a D1 program?

Not a transfer. In fact we have not yet taken anyone from the transfer portal. Is it better to give than receive?

Say what you will about KD, but this is definitely not a year to be out there looking for a new head coach.
Probably wouldn't get the time of the day from any of top candidates, and then have to settle with overpaying for someone not even close to your first few choices.

I'm with you HookShot. I think Gormley, Harper, and KD come off looking pretty good in these walks down memory lane. I'm not happy that what was progress has now stalled, but I will never give up hope.

I'm probably a B.5. With ESPN+ there is almost always a game of some interest to me, any PA teams, including women's games.

If you want updates on this team you will have to wait until the Dukes play again and listen to pregame show.
There hasnt been a story about the Dukes since the last game played almost 2 weeks ago.Unacceptable

Yeah, the nerve of people taking time off for the holidays while school isn't in session and there's an epidemic going on.

Can't listen to the Dukes, so they can tell us we can't listen to the Steelers.

Looks like Spears and Johnson in the posted starting lineup. Plus Okani, Easley, Williams.

That was Depaul's 8th straight home game, losing only to A10 power Loyola. They sure looked comfortable shooting there, even using the rim support and top of the backboard to put in shots. Of course, they also went through us, by us, around us, and over us.

Dukes scored twice in the last 6 minutes to come from behind and win at St. Joes, 2-1. Play RI Friday in an A10 semifinal.

OK. After an extensive review of the current roster and coaching, an in-depth analysis of every potential opponent, a deep-dive into statistics, tendencies, injuries and various other factors too numerous to mention, I submit the following:  11 wins OOC, 11 wins A10, 3 wins A10 Tourney (260 points). For a total of 25 wins.
I can assure you it's only a coincidence no one else has yet picked 25 wins.

See a few other A-10 basketball teams in the top 25. I really wish there was an A-10 football conference.

Absolutely!!!!  It would be one of the best FCS Leagues in the nation.  Dayton, Fordham, Duquesne, Richmond, Rhode Island (Who almost joined s few years back).,,,Natural Rivals

But first, we need to play our games at Highmark or add 5,000 seats somehow or else there will be no interest from the others.

I didn't even know Davidson had a team. 6-8 teams would be a viable conference.

Let’s face it Coach Dambrots post game interview was enlightening emotional & blunt. Dambrot in his interviews is outstanding. If he moves on in the next three years his future is as a color analyst for the networks. Throughout this season he would say “I’m an Old School Coach”. In my opinion the  true Old School Coach is 1 hour south on 79 in Morgantown WV. My second favorite team to watch is WVU.They play hard with intensity the entire game. If a player does not Huggs pulls him to the bench. No snow flakes on WVU. In February of 2019 both Esa Ahmad & Wesley Harris kicked off the team. Both top scorers. WVU with limited roster goes to Big 12 semifinal. How about Kennedy Christian Sagaba Konate. His brother has a sit down with Huggs telling him how to run his team so Konate can become a first round NBA pick. Well Konate leaves get cut from D league currently playing in Greece. Another Kennedy Christian all  HS American Oscar Tshiebwe quits on his team because Huggs demands hard work. Finall Derek Culver no class no play at WVU. Out but his mother begs Huggs for a second chance. Results top center Big 12 & 3.3 QPA. Tough love buy refusing to comprise your coaching values. Coach Dambrot I believe is a very very nice person based on the following. Sincere Benedict Arnold Carry given the keys to the Cadillac. Norms retired #10. Bekelja handed a roster spot no other Div 1 offers. How about Carry, Norman & Austin quitting on the same day. How selfish to their fellow teammates. Could they have stayed until the end? Actually I’m glad they left. Opportunity for Freshman. However, Old School Coach would say bye bye to Carry’s step brother & Austin who quit. Coach Dambrot is truly a very nice person. But based on the press conference does a lack of tough love help or hurt these young snowflakes. If indeed this country went to war we would be speaking either Russian or Chinese. Our Flag would have a hammer & sickle. I know one thing when I was in
