Tell the story of Chuck Cooper. He is remembered by the Basketball Hall of Fame.If i am Chucks son I am raising hell with Duquesne by ignoring his story. Its almost a racist attitude  by Duquesne to ignore Chuck.

Duquesne is a national power in football late 30s early 40s.Duquesne is a national power in basketball for many years. The Nelson twins,Norm Nixon,Korie Hlede,Paul Birch,Sihugo, the Ricketts brothers,Red Manning,Chick Davies,Dudey Moore,Leigh Bodden,Mike Rice,as just a few of the greats who played here.
The man you name the building for.No displays or stories about Chuck Cooper, and the character and troubles he faced in racist America in that era.Chuck was special and nothing.Disgusting and ignoring
Coopers story just terrible .Wake the hell up.

So dissappointed in Duquesne  to tell the story of Chuck Cooper. There is a historical marker outside the building but you go in building and no stories or pictures of Cooper.Wake the hell up Duquesne.Duquesne
has an amazing history and so many great players. No mention of any great stories about former Dukes.
Harper comes from. Dayton and their building has alot of images of Daytons past teams and players.

The information, stories about this  Duquesne team is pathetic.Dukes going to open this building up and no
word on tickets available for out of towners.Very unhappy with lack of  stories about this new team.Very unhappy there is no hall of fame area in the Fieldhouse. No images or history from the past.Ridiculous.

Our own coach says backups who are non scholarship players are on the same talent level as a Division 3
school..If there is a injury to a scholarship player and you put a nonscholarship freshman  against a high quality opponent I have a real concern for players safety.Forget the money payout.Upgrade the program
or play Division 3. Im not sure why a TCU would get involved with Duquesne. Its nothing more than a scrimmage ,kind of a walk through, against a opponent that is too inferior to get any idea on how to approach a legitimate Division1opponent.

Duquesne needs to upgrade the program, add more scholarships to play teams like TCU and WVU.Schmitt describes his backups as Division 3 talent players. It dont seem right to me to have our players exposing themselves to serious
life altering injuries when they are  physically overmatched.Whats the point to get your brains beat in for a big paycheck.?? The facilities are Division 3 so drop down or upgrade before some player ends up quadraplegic.

The Rooney family and their ties to Duquesne. The most widely recognized and respected family ownership
of professional sports in American history and their names are on a plaque in this beautiful building???
The Rooneys are Pittsburgh royalty and Duquesne alums.Duquesne athletics wants attention and the
Rooneys make a connection to Steeler nation which includes millions of fans worldwide many dont know
pronounce the word Duquesne. Its time to draw attention to the Rooneys

Who was Chuck Cooper? The renovated building has his name on it and a historical marker outside of the building. His story needs to be told concerning his character, strength in living in a openly racist period
and how he lived his life as a pioneer in integrating the NBA. Chucks story deserves more detail.

in NFL history.Tell their stories.  A lot of Duquesne players played for the Steelers.A hall of fame  area
is a must.

I enjoyed the renovated building.I had a big smile on my face ,enjoyed talking to Coach Burt and impressed
by everything.I thought the one thing missing was a hall of fame room full of team pictures, great players
and the story of Chuck Cooper in detail. You could line the fieldhouse with team pictures. The video from
the 1955 Nit championship.Duquesne fans have favorite memories.Duquesne was a national power in
football.Tell the story with trophies, pictures, videos.A missed oppurtunity.

I am excited to come to Pittsburgh and have a seat in that gem of a fieldhouse butI have no idea
what the Dukes will do. I will always dream of a great season but reality bites me, 40 years of misery
and wondering if me and all these older fans will witness a NCAA invite before we fade away. I was
16 yrs old in 1971 and its the bottom of the 7th inning for me.Time is running out.
