LaSalle - To give a Break to our Colleague Who Starts These

Question:  In light of the weekend the team had, will this have a significant impact on the game Tuesday Night such as... energy?
        practice time?
        time to go over film?

Not sure, but lasalle just played st. Joes last night and has to travel across the state so it's not like we will be anymore tired than them

Didn't LaSalle lose pretty bad in their last game, also?

Re: LaSalle - To give a Break to our Colleague Who Starts These

Yeah I watched the first five minutes of it. Lasalle has a lot of injuries and only plays like 6 guys. They have one kid who's pretty good and does most of their scoring

Re: LaSalle - To give a Break to our Colleague Who Starts These

Jordan price is their main guy, a bcs transfer. With injury limitations and a lack of depth, Dukes should be confident going into this one

Next four in a row are actually on TV tonight and the other two besides Davidson are on 22 like you said. That's for Comcast and the same channel in hd is 812. The Davidson game is on nbc sports network

Re: LaSalle - To give a Break to our Colleague Who Starts These

Anyone have a prediction for tonight? I think the Dukes will either come out flat from the events of the weekend or really run lasalle out of the game early. I personally think we will be a little sluggish early but then wear them down as the game goes on since lasalle has no depth. I'll say 78-63 Duquesne

Re: LaSalle - To give a Break to our Colleague Who Starts These

Ferry almost never employs a pressure defense. It could speed this game up, but then maybe the idea is to avoid fouls (as LaSalle is doing.)  Also, although the broadcast announcers talked about the heavy minutes some of the Explorers' starters play - D.C. and Micah play an almost complete game every time.

So maybe this pace is not such a bad thing after all.

Re: LaSalle - To give a Break to our Colleague Who Starts These

If we speed em up they have to play a style they are not used to, They are playing exactly like they want.

La Salle is embarrassingly bad.

True. Would like to see some of the other players get into the game. Sanders, Steel...

Rene Castro welcome aboard!! Knocked down two threes and showed some quickness with the ball! Also, really happy to see Jackson contribute. That will go a long way to helping us next season

Am I wrong in thinking that La Salle was the worst team we have played all season?  Their offense reminded me of a local summer league team and their defense was nonexistent.

Not to rain on the parade, but if they had made a few more shots early, when we weren't making them either, it could have been a different game.  When it was a boring 9-9 about ten minutes into the game and both teams were shooting about 30% from the floor, it could have very easily gone the other way.

Somehow they managed to beat Dayton. I don't get what they are doing though. They have 8 scholarship players in the lineup but only use 6. Why not just play the other two and see what they have? It's not like they have anything to lose this year anyways

Oh I absolutely agree.  The first half made me sick.  It was a 3 point contest without any semblance of offensive or defensive cohesion.

Re: LaSalle - To give a Break to our Colleague Who Starts These

Not a good year for the A-10. I thought after seeing St.Louis they where awful then came George Mason and Simms your right now LaSalle. All 3 games where bad.

Dome you can never not be negative it's borderline comical. George Mason, St. Louis, and La Salle are unarguably bottom half of the conference teams by records, talent, etc. how are any of these teams indicative to the strength of the conference? Not a good year for the A-10 or a better year for the Dukes? When were the bottom four teams in the league better than they are now? I hate to tell ya buddy but were steadily improving and this program is moving in the right direction. As much as you hate to hear it it's not them, it's us. Jackson will be big time next year!
