    100 years of DU Hoops

    Duquesne Duke Sports‏@theduke_sportsHappy 100th birthday to Duquesne men's basketball who played their first game ever on Jan. 15, 1913

    I wonder if Westender was at that game or if he followed on telegraph by Ray Goss

    Interestingly enough, just two months ago my sister's mother in law just passed away at the age of 102, so she was around then.  Wow, someone born in the Taft Administration.

    When I was a freshman at DU (1976-77), we had the fifth best all-time record in NCAA basketball over a 51-year period:
    1. Kentucky 1,007-256 (.797)
    2. St. John's 922-335 (.733)
    3. North Carolina 947-364 (.722)
    4. Western Kentucky 952-379 (.715)
    5. Duquesne 766-332 (.698)

    It's amazing how far Western Kentucky has fallen ...
