Gonna be a tough one. On the road against what is now the no.17 team in the country. Game is on ASN again so thats 812 comcast HD in the PGH area.

That would be as awesome as us beating #10 SLU on the road a couple years back! Here's an opinion question for everybody.

If we beat the #17 team in the country, win 20 games and finish in the top 5 in the conference (currently in 6th), and have a decent run in the A10 tourney (2-4 wins), does anyone think this team could get an at-large bid for the NCAA tourney?

Nope the OOC is just to weak. The Dukes have started playing Dayton tougher, and even won a couple down there. The biggest problem is that we are playing even faster in league play than we did in the OOC games. IMHO that seems to exacerbate the runs that the Dukes get into and it makes the negative ones more destructive. Once we start to fall behind rushed shots leave us in bad positions to challenge for rebounds and the shots themselves become more questionable. I would feel better with a lot more structure.

Opening Vegas line is Dayton by 13. Pomeroy has the Flyers winning this one by a score of 79-66; giving the Dukes an 11% chance of winning.

Not a prayer. Not only do you have to play better teams, you have to beat them. The Dukes have one win over a top 100 team.

I think the bottom 4 would have to win 5 games, and the top 4 only 3.

Our current RPI is 111 (from RPI Forecast).
Our best wins are St. Bonaventure (#50 RPI), Penn St. (#104), Milwaukee (#168), Western Kentucky (#181)
Our worst losses are Pepperdine (#129), Georgia Tech (#81) and Davidson twice (#52)
Ten of the 15 wins are against teams with 200+ RPI's.
Not a tournament resume at all.

Ferry was hired for us to get to a tournament. Anything short is a mistake. Two questions:
1. Can the AD improve the out of conference schedule next year?
2. If Ferry doesn't get us to the NIT or NCAA next year or this year, will he be fired?

Yes, I was banking on us being somewhere between #5 and #10, avoiding the disgrace play in game

FAM won't happen because the buy out is much to large. Look at today's paper and you can see the university is cutting cost due to reduced revenues. Ferry has 4 more years at $600,000+. I really thought this year would bring some type of post season play. I'm sorry to say I don't see that and I'm further put off by next years prospects.

That sounds right. Bottom 4 play off in order to get to 12. Then 5 through 12 play off in order to take it to 8 teams. Then it is obviously 3 wins to become champs.

Dukes looking awesome in the first ten minutes. Up six were just up 12. Micah had 13 in the first 9 minutes. Lewis is getting every rebound and colter is facilitating the offense. Dominating so far incredibly. Gotta stay tough. Pollard and piere with two quick fouls apiece go dukes!!!!!

Tied at half. We went stone cold but kept up the solid d. Called a timeout with 34 seconds left and ran an incredible inbounds play that resulted in a huge lg gill dunk. They put a bigger defender on Mason and that definitely had an impact on his shooting. Playing well all things considered no one is in foul trouble gonna be a great second half!
