Gentlemen:

You saw what just happened out there.  We lost in a bitter, bitter, bile in our throats game at the very end, but.......

Look at what you did as a team!  We went toe to toe with a top 25 ranked team.  We have the talent to compete with anyone as long as we play our game.  And you all played well.

Now, we didn't execute at the end. Nerves, jitters what have you, and to be honest we, the coaching staff made some mistakes down the stretch. Perhaps we relied a little bit to much on Derek and Micah, and believe me we will be working even harder to make sure these things don't happen again!.

But as I said, we played our hearts out in a tough gym to play in.    And soon we will be winning those games.  You have done the university, the whole athletic program and every DU alum or current student who wants to see this team back in the top echelon of college basketball proud.

We will work even harder now.  You can play with any team!
