That's a great question, Dome.  I'm assuming that you're referring to the game where the Dukes, after trailing by 32 at half, were losing 82-45, but then — unbelievably — outscored the Hawks 30-2 in the final five minutes to cut the final margin to a respectable 84-75.  That was really wild.  Granted it was mostly against the St. Joe's bench, but another minute or two and the Dukes might have pulled off the greatest come-from-behind victory in the history of college basketball. 

I had almost completely forgotten about that game until you mentioned it. 

If Ferry's current squad is capable of a last-minute flurry like that, I'm hoping they'll save it for Brooklyn!

Pomeroy has the Dukes losing this one 89-73, giving the Dukes a 9% chance of winning.

Even if the Dukes win, they need some help to finish 10th (needing a UMass loss or a SLU win).

Lewis is a defensive asset, lots of teams we faced were affected by his ability to fill the center, true, he needs to develop his ability to finish offensively to the hoop, but this season would have sucked worse without him.  There is more to  a team effort than being an offensive force, but I'd more that be happy if he comes in here next year with a better ability to force that ball  in the hoop for the effort it takes to get it to him.  If that can happen and a decent point guard comes in here, then we might have something.  Hope so.

Can't you give these guys credit for not packing it in, but really playing a great game against a quality opponent? Why do you even bother if you preach only gloom and doom?

Unlike some on this board I never saw these guys quit, even when things looked bleak. Great job by the team!

great point. i will be the first to admit that i am not a ferry fan. however, you are 100% right. not once during that 8 game losing streak did that team quit. testament to micah and dc for keeping it together. this team has an assistant  coach and 2 seniors that have battled illness and they never made excuses. i really think dc and micah will be successful in whatever path they choose to follow after basketball and will represent the university very well.. 
who knows, maybe micach pulls an aaron jackson in brooklyn. stranger things have happened.  look at austin peay!!!!
