LG Gill Landing Spots

Per Corey Evans of Roundball Rundown:

Miami, Wake Forest, Marquette, Alabama, Texas, Auburn, UNLV, Clemson, ECU.

Pretty decent list of options.

Holy Crap! One thing to note, If a player of his caliber is getting looked at by those schools, imagine what type of guy we would get grad transfer wise, probably a warm body for practice and a couple minutes a game.

Those coaches will know what to do with him. And of course, since we only play cupcakes in the non-con, he won't have to worry about Ferry making him sit out.

Re: LG Gill Landing Spots

Makes me a little nervous about finding an adequate replacement for Gill with how thin the grad transfer market seems to be. More I think about it, even that kid Maya or whatever at Pitt had absolutely no business being on that team, he was awful but Pitt desperately needed a center so they took a little stocky brazilian guy from Cornell who never did anything there.

Re: LG Gill Landing Spots

It's worth a shot for the schools if they have an open scholarship, without much in terms of commitment on their part; just a one year deal.

Exactly. When only dregs remain on the high school market, you don't want to waste a scholarship on them. You save it for the fall, but since that means it would be unused for a year, why not bring a warm body in for that single year. At the very least it's a warm body for practice.

Re: LG Gill Landing Spots

There are a lot of Big programs that could use his size coming off the bench,  and he probably wouldn't mind coming off the bench to get a chance to play in a Bigger program.
