Top 100 most productive colleges in NBA history.

Came across this on the UConn board. Duquesne is on the list in three of the four categories.

With Slick and Mike James long tenure in the league, those things add up, plus Si added a bit....

Only slightly behind Pitt, despite all of ESP's success.

Plus I'll never forgive Charles Smith for costing the Knicks a title shot. Lousy Panther!

Plus, we had a bunch of guys who had 5-6 year runs in the league in the 50s, and early to mid 70s.

He played a big role in what I consider to be the greatest game I ever saw, which was Game 6 of the 1974 NBA Finals.

Re: Top 100 most productive colleges in NBA history.

Jarrett Durham, Mike Barr, Mickey Davis, and the Nelson twins.  One heck of a team.  All of those guys went on to play in the NBA.  That team, in my mind is still the basic formula for success.  A big rugged line up that rebounds and plays defense. A smart trustworthy PG who is an assist guy first but can score when the right opportunities are there.  A big scoring guard with all the tools and can create his own shot.  A lanky SF with a good handle who does it all, assist, shoot, or take his man off the dribble, and two large  beasts under the board who muscle rebound, score (off rebounds and close in jumpers), and set screens.  Some may say that the three point shot has altered that formula, and because the game has become faster now you need your PF to be more of a perimeter guy.   I think a guy like that off the bench would (if you had a reliable shooter) be great in certain situations, but if it were me I would try to design a team that made a living pounding the ball inside.
