Offline When you read this remember that at that time the Pittsburgh Pirates were known as the " Rinky Dinks" with a young team filled out by over the hill veterans, except Kiner, and the Steelers were earning their SOS title( same old Steelers ) the men from Ronney U. were awful and Duquesne was the cities Winner. Exactly! We had hockey, but it was minor league, and Pitt hadn't recovered from the nonsensical decision to push out Jock Sutherland, and deemphasize what was probably a top 5 or 6 football program at the end of the 1930s. Of course the Holy Ghost fathers would stunningly do the exact same thing to a top 5 or 6 basketball program later in the decade.
