Offline I have seen some bad coaching decisions as well this year but I really can't honestly say that I have witnessed the team quit on the coaching staff. Don't know what happened with Josh Steele. Very sad situation since I thought that Josh was one of the better perimeter shooters on the team and had real potential. Players played hard last night but could certainly be "one of those games"! Offline Pres & Hilltopper when I was talking about players quitting I was talking about UMass and all the other teams I have seen get embarrassed without taking exception. Lucky enough to have been close to the court at both this game and Pitt's debacle against Louisville. I don't know as a player how you accept that. Last edited by The Dome (2/16/2017 12:37 pm) Offline For what it's worth, Duquesne started with an almost new team this year , regardless of why, these kids needed to play together and not only the freshman needed time. Offline Citizen Dome, please remove all sharp objects, count to 10 and exhale. Everything will be alright. So are you in fact one of Amodio's buddies who pushed Ron out the door and helped us climb into the basement mess we're in? Because for the sake of the program, I sure hope you're misinformed. Blow the rest of the teams on the schedule out by 20 points, and reach the A10 Final, and I might be convinced that a corner has been turned. Since that isn't happening, time to move on.

Hill sorry but if he gets another year I'm out!!!! You can't allow beating a very bad team blind the truth, go to Rhody and pull a upset like Fordham did.
Re: UMass Game Thread - Battle for the Basement Part Deux
Leaders have emerged and rolls are more defined, as far as the coaching they know more than I do about what is going on.
At this point in this campaign any success should be relished and I am glad for the kids and coaches today.
A diehard fan since 1961

Word has it, unless there is a long-shot of something untoward, Coach Ferry and company will encore again next year.
Stay engaged, my friend.
I've seen zero evidence that Ferry can coach.
Zero.
Time to move on.
