    Fordham Game Thread - The Sequel

    7pm tip Wednesday at AJ Palumbo Center. Per KenPom:
    Dukes #215 (10-17; 3-11 T-12th last place) vs  Fordham #190 (12-15; 6-8 T-9th)
    Fordham is ranked 12th of 14 in the A-10; Dukes ranked 13th of 14.
    Game prediction: Dukes by 2, 68-66 - Dukes with a 58% probability of a win.

    Betting line: Dukes by 1
    Fordham 9-12-1 against the spread; Dukes 8-11-1 ATS.

    Previous Meeting at the Rose Hill Gym on 12/30 - Dukes 75-72

    I remember watching the Fordham game earlier in the year. Those players play hard for their coach.  I think Teflon Jim may be in for a tough one tonight.

    Anxious to see what has brought about the defensive change in their last 2 games. Holding Rhody to 42 points on their court and St. Louis to 40 in New York is quite a turn around. The St.Louis game wouldn't catch my attention except they laid 87 on us.

    If you want the Dukes to win, you have to hope -- pray -- for a route.

    If it is a one possession game at the end, Smalltime Jim will get pantsed again.

    This is just pathetic!  Five straight turnovers, guys throwing passes to no one, guys getting the ball in their hands for wide open threes and they look to pass instead of shoot!  2 point lead erased by a 9 - 0 Fordham run!

    That last play is unfortunately the epitome of Lewis' career. Just catch the ball and you have an easy layup.

    Agreed.  This is almost too painful to watch.  We must be real gluttons for punishment, as though we haven't already suffered enough watching this once-proud program-turned-laughingstock lo these past forty years.

    Yes, the audio has been really sketchy — almost as bad as the action on the hardwood.

    I don't know why you guys are upset. This is a great outcome. There is no point complaining about Ferry. That verdict is in. We need more results like this in order to force the board's hand.

    Just when you think Smalltime Jim is out of ideas: Three wing forwards (Abrahamson, James, Mike) and two combo guards (Lewis and Castro). Get ready for the four walk-ons plus Castro. He likes that lineup at the end of games.

    ​PS, Ray getting all geeked up about Abrahamson having 12 points, ignoring the turnovers and poor FT shooting.

    Because this is Duquesne and Dave Harper is committed to a ten year plan to build a program from the bottom up and not just make the NCAAs once a decade!
