Must have had a falling out with tubby smith because his playing time dwindled as the year went on. Regardless, good size for a guard and was a three star recruit. From Youngstown. 3 star player out of high school. Didn't do great at Memphis. 6'4" sg. Depth behind Mike Lewis. Shooting 35% from the field, and 29% from 3 will get you a seat on the bench. Size and can handle the ball, nice step back jumper. This is a guy that KD probably couldn't get to Akron since he landed at Memphis, but this is where the A-10 (multiple bid) conference can help land quality players. I think this is a good signing and I agree with 81' and Phil Dog. Looking forward to this week and the start of signing period!! I was expecting at least one verbal today. Can't say this is the one I was expecting. Dukes have a thin roster, if a memphis kid wants to come here, great. He can obviously work on some things and reach potential. Good get! Memphis has 2 other kids on the transfer list. By the way Akron's starting PG was just added to the list. Memphis has 2 other kids on the transfer list. By the way Akron's starting PG was just added to the list. LOL! We won't be getting the Lawsons, that's for sure. I'm surprised Dedric isn't going into the draft. Obvious talent and pedigree, great get! Ultimately you never know how recruits will pan out regardless of stars or ratings. Despite that fact, recruits are separated into tiers based off of said stars and ratings. What's important is that we move up to the next tier in terms of the level of recruits on a regular basis, this guy is next tier for us. So far Yes no more room for guys who will need to sit next year. We'll need immediate help for next season. So far I'm seeing 11 available. Both transfers have to sit next season. Based on a few Twitter posts, I think Castro is not coming back. Based on a few Twitter posts, I think Castro is not coming back. That would be too bad, as I think plenty of playing time will be available. Based on a few Twitter posts, I think Castro is not coming back. That would be too bad, as I think plenty of playing time will be available. That and where is he realistically going to go? He's already 4 years out of high school. If he doesn't graduate this spring, he can't go to a D1 school. As a grad transfer, since his track record is weak, he would probably need to go to either a low major (NEC, MEAC etc.), or a school whose team is dreadful. Guards are a dime a dozen, so not many schools are going to want to take a flyer on him. He needs to stay here, where he'll get plenty of run. Duq81 you're right. On the other hand, we want players who are committed to being here and winning. If his heart's not here, I wish him all the best. I don't think he's been utilized well since he's been here and he has the chance to play under a proven winner. If we are now Pittsburghians, are we not also Bluffians? Rated 79 out of high school. That's actually pretty high. Dambrot needs to tap into that potential!

Here's a nice article about Craig fighting inconsistency. This seems like the kind of talented kid that could really breakout under a good coach like dambrot.

Re: Duquesne lands a transfer from Memphis
In case you haven't seen this article, it speaks about Randall's long-term relationship with Dambrot and his staff and his decision to come to Duquesne. Interestingly, it also gives credence to the notion that Dambrot had been talking to Harper for a number of weeks prior to the offer and announcement as head coach. Derails a lot of the media spin and misinformation on the coaching search.

Thanks for the link,
Now that's the kind of testimonial you love to hear, I think the remaining players who return are in for their positive coaching expierence.
Finally, after a generation length wait, good things will start to happen for the Bluffites and fans......
