Donovan Johnson, a sophomore at OLSH, received word that he’d received his first D-1 scholarship offer and it came from Keith Dambrot and the Duquesne Dukes. Dambrot is really going local/regional. I don't know much about Donovan Johnson's ability since he doesn't play AAAA and don't mean to second guess KD but I hope he realizes that It's easier to recruit more nationally now he's in the A10. Last edited by coffee (3/03/2018 10:22 am) In talking to coach KD after one of his recent radio shows, he says he wants to get the best local player available at the time/ Perhaps that explains why he went after Donovan who is perceived as the best, if not one of the best, of his graduating class year. Don't give up on the prospect of Brandon Stone wearing the Red and Blue. It’s important to to get quality local talent like Johnson of OLSH and Warfield of Sewickley Academy if they continue to get better and decide on Duquesne. It gives your program credibility and relevance in your local market.
