Re: Johnny Crise

Athletic looking guy, can run the court, handles the ball, seems to have a good understanding of the game, looks for his teammates, good jumper, and his shot looks OK.  Good to hear that he prides himself in defense and rebounding.  Does anyone have his height and weight at the present time?  Good to see us mining the local talent when the opportunity presents.

Re: Johnny Crise

Robert Morris has already extended an offer to Crise.  They also got commitment from Philmon Gebrewhit who had offers from among others Creighton and about half of the A10 schools, including Duquesne.  RMU is aiming high and to be reckoned with

Re: Johnny Crise

He will probably flip to a bigger school if he’s good.  If he does sign; he’ll likely play one year and transfer.  It’s just the reality of the state of college basketball.  They must not show their recruits the Moon Twp location and how they are so far from the City; because once they get a look at the place; they can’t wait to get out.

Re: Johnny Crise

RMU getting a commitment from Gebrewhit makes me wonder if Toole has just accepted the fact that his best players always transfer high, and has started pitching that idea to recruits as a result.

Some kids, or more likely, their parents, prefer an out of the way location, as they may view it as safer. Don't forget what happened on our city campus, although that could happen anywhere now days. Still, some look for quieter locations. To each his reach.
