This Year's Team

Kind of Difficult to "Get a Read" on this year's team.

With the 25 wins from last year - losing very little in terms of talent -  having some new infusion of talent - and two guards with plenty of experience in the starting line up -  was hoping this would be a year with everything clicking and would not need an A-10 title to secure entrance in to the Big Dance.

Am understanding of the schedule etc.  - aware of the fact that 8 games in with 6 on the road and significant time missed due to injuries from 3 players (Nina, Connor, Enika) plus no idea what is going on with Angelina -  perhaps 4-4 isn't completely bad.  Did expect to beat Toledo - didn't know what to expect from UCF.  Thought TCU might be winnable in that it was the opener.

Bottom line team HAS TO SHOOT BETTER- Doesn't seem to be the Senor Season (to date) that was expected from Chassidy & Julianna -  Connor does not have a Field Goal - Only Kadri Ann's numbers are close to what was expected.

Libby and Amanda have been pleasant surprises - cringe to think where the team could be if THAT wasn't the case.

I've thought for years -  certain teams can be powers - certain teams will be at the bottom -  the differences for the other teams (whether they will be good or bad) in a certain year is the teams with good guard play/senior leadership (the ball is in THEIR hands in the close games, they can be the ones who get fouled protecting a lead, go to the line, hit free throws - sounds a LOT like Chassidy and Julianna to me,  should be less rattled on the road etc) pointed to THIS YEAR'S Team having "it" (and I know NEXT year could be a struggle) Sprinkle in a little luck as far as injuries go

Hopefully takes ONE game when "everything clicks" and the team starts playing like expected.

But with TEN STRAIGHT TOURNAMENTS THEY HAVE EARNED MY RESPECT AND SUPPORT!!! and faith that somehow in the end things will be OK!!!
