A bit more information on the two new members being added next year to the NEC. The schedule must be a problem because we only have dates for the OOC games and a couple NEC games so far. Articles on Scheduling 12 Games and Conference Changes for NEC
Evidently both Merrimack and LIU will be playing the NEC but only LIU eligible for the championship.
I don't see adding Merrimack as a plus for Duquesne as they have 2 less chances to schedule games against teams like New Hampshire, UMASS, Youngstown, Hawaii and West By God Virginia.
I'd rather play a real rival school from the A 10 such as Rhode Island, Fordham, or Richmond and a yearly big challenge for the financial and recruiting return.
