If you thought the cost of your Duquesne education was high: At this time in history, anyone spending money for a liberal (generally very liberal) arts degree will lose money compared to a kid who learns a skilled trade (plumbing, e.g.). Many of our institutes of "higher learning" offer high school level courses in worthless fields of study, yielding graduates with no marketable skills or knowledge.

My best advice to young people who aren't going to invent something or who don't have entrepreneurial skills is to take ANY job with the best company that will hire you, and move from function to function and place to place (even overseas). You'll go much farther in your career than someone who pigeonholes herself or himself. •
