This is a really good interview giving some good insight into scheduling, transfer and NILs. If you have 14 minutes well worth the listen. One thing I learned is that a NIL can be arranged, and the kid can be a walk on instead of a scholarship player. The world of athletics has changed never to be the same as we remember, Harper is forward thinking. I like his comment that those involved need to adjust and adapt. DU seems to be ahead of this process. Thanks, CLK. To me, a transfer now holds so much more value than an incoming freshman. 1) You have tape at the Division 1 level; coaches see how well the player competes at this level (on both sides of the ball) and get a glimpse on whether the player is a me or we type of teammate; and 2) in most cases, the transfer can't transfer again without sitting out a year. You have much more stickiness to keep a transfer vs. an incoming freshman. Agree with you guys! Colin Dunlap had him on after reading the Trib article on Duquesne scheduling "big" especially in football. Good discussion of importance of scheduling too for football and basketball and raising the schools profile Here is the link to the Trib article too Agree with you guys! It appears that football is in a much better place regarding scheduling non-conference games than basketball. Big difference in cashing a check va writing a check. Just hope the NEC doesn’t implode any further. Agree with you Phoenix 💯 and again I think our AD is doing what needs to be done or will figure it out. This forum is hosted for free by Boardhost.
