Wow.  Ninth.  Hope he is spot on or maybe a tad pessimistic.  With his ranking we even escape the bottom six preliminary round.

Biggest jumps from KenPom’s final 2022 rankings to the initial 2023 rankings:

Duquesne: 280 to 133 (+147)
Georgia: 219 to 93 (+126)
Pittsburgh: 195 to 84 (+111)
James Madison: 227 to 127 (+100)
Marshall: 238 to 140 (+98)

Note also that Kentucky is #1.  Only three other non conference foes ranked ahead of us - UCSB. DePaul, and Colgate.  Definitely not an easy go though.  Good schedule.

Pitt was picked next to last....at least the city has 2 competitive college teams.
