Let’s host a Mascot of the Month Competition.  Since it is now a Duquesne tradition to change traditions after years of being just plain old Dukes) we should create a new team mascot and emblem every month!  Think if the tons of money that can be made off the those who want the latest in fan logo gear!

Mascots and symbols already used can't be used again since we want all new gear include;
- A traditional Duke with cane and epaulets. 
- “Duke” the bear
- Old English D
- Angry Duke with Top Hat and flowing cape
- New modern D that doesn’t even look like a D
- A blue lion (since it’s in our school seal and since we are ashamed of being a Duke and have feline cat envy of Penn State and Pitt).  Blue? No clue
- A cool humorous Duke playing basketball- Remember we are ashamed of being Dukes

Lead candidates are Doves and Librarians since there are also doves and books somewhere in our school seal.  Also under consideration are the “Holy Ghosts” which can be fearsome in a different way and the original “Marquis” du Quesne who was French so we could also be the “Frogs”.
TCU  Horned Frogs had a good year so we can change the D altogether and make it an F.   New cheer can be “F THAT!”
