Before the season I promised myself that I would be on board with a KD extension if 2 things happened. Reece is a senior; no more college eligibility. 3 years at Old Dominion, 1 year at Bowling Green and his final year here. My understanding is that Reese is a senior playing out his final year of eligibility. Grant is a junior with 1 more eligible year. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. KD is doing with Rozier exactly what he should have done with Hima and Acuff. We will need Rozier to run the point next season and it appears he will be ready. We have Devin Carney and Grant as shooters in the backcourt next year so we just need to get some more depth in the portal/recruiting and the backcourt looks good. Easley leaving was not a blessing. We certainly could have used him this year grabbing boards and providing complementary scoring. He was a crafty player and we don't have a lot of those guys. I think KD needs to find another "reece" or "steele" in the portal as Dixon and Chabi need some more time to progress before they can carry the full "big" load.

One Goal Accomplished
The first goal was to win 16-18 games. This has obviously been accomplished & will likely be exceeded by 2 or 3 wins.
My second goal, which I believe to be the harder & more important one, is bringing back the majority of eligible rotational players. Given the wackiness that is portal world this his may be naive but, I think a few more wins, including at least one in the tourney, will make this likely to happen.
What I hadn't considered, until now, is that the mandatory departures of Brewer, Gunn, Reece & Rotroff coupled with Easley's leaving earlier could be either a blessing or a curse based on what the portal yields this year.

The DU team page lists Grant as a jr, Reece as a sr. Its hard to really know for sure these days.
