We're down 5 in the early going. No defense and a lot of forced shots so far. We're down 10. Ferry is being outcoached badly, and Colter is hoisting away. I'm guessing we should't play at Palumbo Center either. Halfway through the first half we have eight points. I have serious doubts in Ferry's ability to coach or recruit. How could this team not be ready for this game? WashPa Rick knew they'd be playing a 2-3 zone. Jarret Durham is explaining right now that the zone is completely disrupting the Dukes. Soko getting his lunch eaten by McFadden. If JD doesn't become less critical with his commentary, he will soon be an ex DU announcer. He is telling it like it is today. Colter is 1-6. Dukes are fighting back, get it down to 4, and Colter turns it over again. He's KILLING us. And, ah, the FT shooting again. Big 3 by White to end the half. We're down 2. But that was a very poor first half. Bad defense, bad FT shooting when it counted, Colter launching away, Soko playing, well, best way I can say it for a fifth year senior is this: stupid. Turnovers are killing us. We look like we can't shoot. Jerry Jones and Dominique McKoy only guys playing well. Colter and Jeremiah have not improved on last year, maybe regressed. It's the Mark Beaver's syndrome that we've seen over the years. By his senior year, Beavers wasn't even starting. Colter + White = 3/13 from the floor, 3/6 from the FT line. Second straight game Lewis has sat on the bench while a tall kid has pushed us around. Soko and McKoy getting worn out in the second half while Watkins and Lewis sit. And can we figure out that the Oliver kid is going to shoot and put a body in front of him? Down 6 with 5 to play. Down 9 with 4 and change. It's over. Down 10 with 3. Sitting back in a zone, content, apparently, with this loss. Talked to my son. We're probably bagging the season tix for next year. Just go to 7 or 8 games. I'm done. Well this is another new low. This is another 20+ loss season. Hard to disagree. This is really bad. If someone can tell me why I should be excited for the future I would love to listen. I respect the people who say they are done. Here he is now ... When oh when will GA ever be on the hot seat for this absolute freaking mess? In Ferry three keys to the loss, no where did he accept any blame. In fact, blaming it on free throws. Down 10 with 3. Sitting back in a zone, content, apparently, with this loss. This was a huge coaching blunder.
