Offline Thanks Phoenix. Great article by George. Necas with two years of playing on a foreign professional club is not your typical freshman. This is our year! Offline European players better coached with the basics If Dambrot & Staff can build relationships outside the US the Dukes will have a unique recruiting pool of talented players Refreshing to note these kids want an education. Ride the Euro train until the Nil Money pools from the big 5 power conferences corrupts the recruiting process. Agree with CLK . This is the year. Go Dukes. Offline For me, this article demonstrates how limited in scope KD's radius/expertise was for his first 5 years at DU. Similarly, his comments on how basketball is taught & played in Europe show that he is quite behind the times in his understanding of the subject. Offline Phil, as you know, the world of college basketball has changed dramatically in just the last three years. Free agency, the NIL, and just this year the NCAA has dropped SAT scores from its requirement to be eligible which was a major problem in recruiting foreign players. This has opened up the ability for schools like DU to get quality foreign player. Everyone has their own opinion, but to me Dambrot and our NIL group, have done a fantastic job in adjusting to the new world. That "some point" you mentioned above has already happened in my opinion. Offline CLK you are much too positive 🤪Phil nothing wrong with Dambrots recruiting process. Go Dukes. This is the year👍 Offline CLK my comments should be viewed as a positive. Go Dukes

I am not a die-hard believer in the idea that the newest ways are the best ways but, I also know that at some point the tried & true becomes in need of adjustment. Ideally, leaders would be well versed in & able to utilize many schools of thought.
I suspect the turnover in the coaching staff has benefitted the recruiting program in a huge way. I hope the same happens for the offensive & defensive schemes.
