14 team tournament. No more Friday off. PPG Paints Arena!!! I hate the fact that they are now playing 5 days in a row, with no off day on Friday. I think that off day benefited the Dukes big time this past year. It is a lot harder to win 4 games in 4 days vs winning 4 in 5 days. This change increases the importance of finishing in the top 4 and getting the double bye where you then need to win 3 games in 3 days. Nice to see Pittsburgh get the tourney in 26. Pittsburgh also set to host the NFL draft in spring 2026. Good times ahead! Last edited by townsonkid (5/22/2024 10:47 am) Maybe consider scheduling a game or two this year also.

Next year's tourney is in Washington, DC, which should make it a lot easier for Dukes fans to travel to and attend the tournament.

Re: 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament to be Hosted in Pittsburgh!
I read last night Duquesne, GW and UMass are 3 of the original A10 teams left. And Umass is leaving. So they rewarded DC and Pittsburgh with the tourn the 2 BIG years.
The Atlantic 10 Conference was started in 1975 with basketball as the only sponsored sport, and by 1976 the first season of play started. Originally founded with eight member schools, the conference now has 14 members. Currently, three of the original eight schools are still members of the A-10.
I see people saying PPG is bad, or too big, and Pittsburgh is boring. Pittsburgh is probably the most central location for the A10 if you consider from St Lou to URI and from Davidson to UMass. Most schools/fans can drive here in ~6 hrs. Its not NYC, but the 'Burgh is fine for 3-4 days, enough to do when not watching games. I just hope Duquesne fans turn our this time, and make it our tournament. We should be a strong team lead by Dixon, Wilburn, Rozier, Edwards, DiMichele, Crawford, etc...
Maybe consider playing a game or two there during the regular season 2025-26???
