Offline Wilborn is a center not a power forward. A beast with a very high ceiling. Corbett is 6-7, but plays like a 6-9 guy averaging over 7 rebounds a game. Both future NBA'er. Add Dixon, Barre, Necas, Williams, Edwards, and Crawford (all solid rebounders) to the mix and rebounding wont be a worry. The only worry on this team is keeping guys happy. The sky is the limit. Not a team in D-1 that has this much talent 1-13 in their lineup. Dru knows what he's doing. Rayrich Seems my post got you up in arms more than excited. Chill out and get excited about being a Dukes fan. In the meantime give me your top 25 precious overrated Top 25 factories Offline Better that little arguments go on here than nothing at all. It's only June, and it's good to see the activity here. Looks like a very good year coming up. Offline Lets name Rozier a center. Offline Better that little arguments go on here than nothing at all. It's only June, and it's good to see the activity here. Looks like a very good year coming up. All of us, what 10 to 20 posters can and should express our opinions, because, they are just our views. I like anything you all post about DU BBall here. Optimistic or just a bit pessimistic. It doesn't matter. Express your views, counter each other, debate, it's all fine. Especially, this next season. Just a couple of facts. First, we won the A-10 and then beat BYU. Second, Coach Dru is a top recruited and has a very impressive well stocked team. Third, DU lost no one that saw action last season in the portal. (A very impressive stat.) And last, Coach Dru played point for 12 seasons in the pros, he will likely be a game day coach. After 40 plus years of being irrelevant in major college BB, it's great to see DU basketball become relevant again. Go Dukes.

I admire your passion for the Dukes. It appears that I hit a nerve suggesting that it would be beneficial for the Dukes to add a large body experienced center. I suggest you read my post without the passion however. I love Dru,
I believe I praise the team he has assembled, I praise the athleticism of our forwards, but I agree with Coffee that we are thin at center and suggest that we would benefit by bringing in a big body to spell the talented tall forwards we will be playing at center.
Corbett at 6'7 is a forward in the Atlantic 10. If not, he is a forward playing at center (as I said). And It will be great if he averages 7 rebounds but...
Regarding your emphatic statement that quote=Rayrich]Wilborn is a center not a power forward." While I do believe he may play like a beast ( and do hope he does) your belief that he is a center is mistaken--he has been a forward and will probably continue to play at forward (unless they play him as a natural forward at center--my opinion you may recall--talented tall forwards playing center.
Want proof that Wilborn is a forward?
The following identify him as a 6'8 forward:
ESPN.com
Sports-reference.com
cbssports.com (CBS)
X-basketthoops.com
basketballreaigm.com
r/collegebasketball (Reddit)
tribdem.com
pittsburghsportsnow.com
yardbarker.com
nytimes.com (yes, that New York Times)
Wikipedia (it lists the Red Flash roster)
hudl.com
sportsdatausatoday.com (That USA pub)
And last, but certainly not least:
the St Francis of Loretto basketball roster from last year: sfuathletics.com
(seems they didn't realize he was really a center and mistakenly played him as a forward all year (no wonder he transferred) And that was in the NEC.
And a partial win for you:
scoutbasketball.com (they listed him as a center but unfortunately listed him as a forward as well. The slash "forward" must have been a typo.
I got tired of looking for someone who would verifiy him as "quote=Rayrich]Wilborn is a center not a power forward"
I will repeat what I said: we have a collection of very talented, athletic and exciting tall forwards, some of which will play at center. Wouldn't it be great to bring in an experienced, big bodied true center for more depth? Can we not agree that that would possibly make us even deeper and better? We will be a good team regardless. I just think it would be nice to have a cherry on top.
One last question, Rayrich. You posted:
"Not a team in D-1 that has this much talent 1-13 in their lineup" Not one? Really" Nobody, really? The future top 25 rated schools and top seeded Tournament teams for next year must be so jealous. Rayrich, it's not so much
what you say...it's just the way you say it. Really.
that have those 1-13 players. Remember Barre, Hronsky, Crawford, and Dimichelle might be are 9-13 when all said and done so good luck with that. Enjoy the depth man. This team is going to bust a few brackets come March.

Re: Quite time now
What does it even matter, make up a new position name, its still 5 guys on the court at one time. 10' rim, 5 opponents, 3 refs, one ball. •Thread Starter
