It's time for the Dukes' first repeat competitor of the year... 1/29 at 7:00 PM EST at the Hagan Arena in Philadelphia! Being the under-dog in this game isn't that bad, since we only win those games this season and lose to teams we were predicted to beat? The Lakers played in Philly last night. That meant a special guest was close enough to come visit the Dukes. That special guest may just be the best basketball player of all time. Wow Fan Duel has the Dukes at 8.5+. What am I missing? Are they that bad according to the analytics? Zac Weiss appeared on the “Bracy Sports Media Podcast” to preview the Dukes’ matchup tonight!! Link below, but as I have an iPhone I was able to look up bracy sports media in the podcasts app and listen easily on the move that way. Zac Weiss appeared on the “Bracy Sports Media Podcast” to preview the Dukes’ matchup tonight!! Link below, but as I have an iPhone I was able to look up bracy sports media in the podcasts app and listen easily on the move that way. Zac doesn’t come on until 24 minutes in. Frankly not worth listening to much before that. Wow Fan Duel has the Dukes at 8.5+. What am I missing? Are they that bad according to the analytics? Line is up to 9½. The analytics are really bad in some areas - in conference play, the Dukes are last in getting to the foul line and if/when they get there, they are last in FT%. And the Dukes send teams to the line with alarming frequency. The above combination is a deadly disadvantage on the road. So I just "knew" we would beat Fordham, especially after the hard practices Dru had and getting blown out by Dayton. Hmm...wrong again. Okay, let me try a different approach...there is no way I see them beating St. Joe's on their home floor, especially after we beat them here and it took overtime. Video of Lebron shaking hands of the Dukes as they entered the room: I am going Dukes money line with Lebron It’s Coach Dru’s birthday. Great video of a pregame pep talk and celebration of his day: Eli Wilborn gets the nod to start. Chabi out with a hamstring. Wilborn and Dixon playing like their heads are up you know what. We’re going to need to figure it out down low at some point. Last edited by BluffHunter (1/29/2025 7:19 pm) We know why Wilburn doesn’t start… he keeps getting blocked and is extremely slow. Necas runs away from the rebound to let the ball go out of bounds from the rim of Matus’ shot to send us to the U4 media timeout… We know why Wilburn doesn’t start… he keeps getting blocked and is extremely slow. He was nervous at the start. Joe Lunardi just said it best. “It just seems like both of these teams aren’t into it. Maybe we’re in the dog days of February already.” Wilburn playing pretty pretty good. Necas has to step up & be the man not a Euro. Dixon is a disappointment. We know why Wilburn doesn’t start… he keeps getting blocked and is extremely slow. Thought he made a few nice moves to get open, but has go up more aggressively. He was definitely fouled on a couple of those misses, but he's got to put them home. Wilborn at least has an inside game. Dixon just too stiff and commits the most ridiculous fouls. The Corbett turnover before the end of the half should never happen. Edwards makes one mistake and he sits on the pine for the last 12 minutes. That's just poor coaching. Well the energy has picked up. We played great defense in the first half we can't have the lapses when they do. Wilborn the best big we got. At least he will body up. Still just a soph, in first year of A10. Where is Edwards? Dukes just not good right now. No go to guy and nobody willing to take it to the hoop hard. Didn't see this coming after the 4-1 start. Lunardi is such a homer and down right annoying. Always hated Duquesne like any other St. Joe fan. Very disappointed.. Dinkins with 15 points in the final 1 minute and 19 seconds. I dread the game where a team starts fouling us with a minute left and we have to make foul shots.

The Dukes will need to shoot well from 3 with a good frequency in order to win this game.

Flemming is too good for any of our bigs tho.
Lunardi is pretty dull, but its so much better than Cannon rambling on about nothingness and praising our opponents. Their announcers dont have to talk all the time. Its nice.
