Dinkins with 15 points in the final 1 minute and 19 seconds. I dread the game where a team starts fouling us with a minute left and we have to make foul shots.

It's mindless watching this Dukes team at the FT line.  Do the coaches really think this is acceptable?  Edwards 6 min. tonight? Dixon 16 minutes?

Necas was lost in space tonight, its like he’s out of the loop.   Just put him in the top of the paint, set picks or take ball to the rim.  Poor guy stands in that corner and never gets the ball.

Wilborn and Dixon need to get bullish.

9-13 from FT line tonight.   70%.   Thats good enough to get by % wise.
Joes had 35 FT attempts!!!   A lot came at the end, sure, but they were 82%.

70% would be middle of the pack in the conference. The Dukes are a dreadful 64% as a team from the line this season... Worst in the A10. Taking the least amount of free throw attempts in the league thus far.

It seems like they have an aversion of attacking the hoop. This Saturday against UMASS I can assure yinz that Coach Martin will play bully ball. Hopefully, Chabi will be ready. Necas & Dixon especially are not a 5 but a 4. Chabi & Wilburn are the best option for the 5 spot. Dukes need to stop the losing streak at home this Saturday.

Most disappointing loss that could have gone the other way like many of our loses. It seems that we compete but can't grab the brass ring. Thought the defensive effort was there. Need to focus recruiting on PG and C positions if we're ever going to do more than just compete! The old McKeesport basketball coach Neenie Campbell always said he could win with a good big man and a good PG. We are in need of both. GO DUKES!!

In the A10, you must have quality guards. This Dukes team is lacking them. Each of the guards have a hole or two in their game that gets exposed over time. You can only hide those deficiencies for so long on effort and coaching.

I agree.  I think the team would look a lot different with Jake and Trey playing 25+ mins a game each and Kareem playing 15.  Guard play has hurt this team. Jake’s injury cannot be overlooked. I think his playmaking ability would add so much to this team. It’s not the ideal backcourt but it’s exponentially a better one and we may be 5-3 or even 6-2 with it.

Necas, you have to become more on offense.  You’re a good hard worker, but your offense is catch and pass, or take a wide open three.   Drive to the rim with your size; score or get fouled.  Get some mid-range going.   You are too skilled to be simply a pass conduit. Go get you some!

Unfortunately, Necas has been unsuccessful going to rim when he does.  And being the worst 3 point shooter on the team he is really hurting the team on offense.  And he, like everybody else on the team, can’t seem to get the line where he is a fine FT shooter 75%.   It’s a shame. I still believe in him and think he can turn it around but now he is as big a part of the problem as anybody else on offense.  He has regressed. A lot of season left. I’d love to see him turn things around
