Great for Megan. Phoenix was 2 games under .500 last seaon so there should be opportunity for her.

Along with there 3 draft picks they signed 4 other players to free agent contracts. Competition will be tough.

Meg may have better success of reaching the WNBA after a few seasons of international competition.
I think Meg needs to add a key element to her game, a mid-range floater/push shot.  This is something she needs because of her tendency to drive all the way to the hoop, where she often had her shot blocked.  In professional basketball, she will be facing much taller players than she has seen at the collegiate level and the ability to stop and pop will help her.  She also is a below average free-throw shooter (60% range) for a PG, so if she doesn't improve that part of her game, she will have a hard time at the next level.  At the highest level of basketball, you want players that are locks from the FT line to be on the floor.
I hope she works with her brother TJ on developing these skills so she can be successful at the next level.

Megan has signed a short term contract with the Mercury and will be on the active roster for their game at Minnesota on Tuesday.

Does anyone know if this is the first brother sister pair in NBA/WNBA history? I can think of the Millers but Cheryl did not play. She only coached.

Dan Burt told me it's the 6th time this has happened.

Thank you both for the information. I thought of the Parker’s later on in the day. But I am not familiar with the other pairs.

There was a story on the Internet.. Megan "injured her knee after a collision going for a loose ball and walked gingerly in to the dressing room". She played 12:38 had 3 points and 3 assists.

Didnt look good, felt bad for her laying on the court in pain, hopefully just a bruise and nothing that requires any operation and long recovery.

Megan's dad Tim told the Post-Gazette that she will be out for a month.

Considering the alternatives that is good news. Probably an MCL which typically can heal without surgery.

Unfortunately Megan was waived. Perhaps next season he can try again
