As someone who works in production, this was a mess. The one guy’s sitting his mic, the other never stops talking — mostly about the other team. But, ultimately, i can sit in Los Angeles and watch the game. Not so much for the last 30 years. So thanks to ESPN and whatever they profit for a game on this level.

That was another annoying thing. One announcer's mic was very low volume, the other one very loud. The the "white noise" during commercial breaks was ear-splitting. Spent the whole game turning the speakers up and down while wondering what he score was. Now and then we heard the margin of the lead, never the actual score.

I gave the 12 1/2.

I got them at 10.5 early. sacred Heart Coach appeal review at the end of the game was bizarre. Yes the player hit the 3 at the buzzer but very very 🤔

Re: Game Thread - Sacred Heart Pioneers

Glad we won. Now, this many fouls WILL cost us games against better teams which equals faster teams which equals more fouls which equals losses.

Re: Game Thread - Sacred Heart Pioneers

Alex Williams gave the Dukes a huge lift when he entered the game. His intensity and his physical presence changed the dynamics in this game; Sacred Heart was starting to take hold of this game when Alex made his presence felt. Nice coming out party for him.

I’m starting to have some major concerns with Necas. He continues to contribute next to nothing offensively and he struggled last night against a very athletic Sacred Heart team. 15 minutes with 2 points, no rebounds, 1 steal, 1 turnover and 4 fouls.

He had a smile on his face when he called for the review. I actually think he did it to mess with the refs.  They had given him a T already in the game. And all the whistles all night bothered everybody in the gym, but the refs.  Maybe just a little dig at them? Make them work a little bit more.?

A10Talk isn’t necessarily the league taking notice. That’s just a website and Twitter account with contributors from each school in the conference. Still a nice article!

In addition to a really piss-poor attempt to referee this game, the refs also seemed to have trouble communicating with the scorer’s table. We never received a clear announcements on both of the technicals. Neither one was on the coach. I had to look at the box score to determine that the techs were on #3 Conner and #14 Hill.

Dru is showing his coaching chops in year 2.  Big improvement over last year.  Keep it up!

Huh. I was there. It really seemed he assessed the tech on the coach but I did never hear the announcement.  The coach had a look on his face at the time like he got it called on him.
