Supposedly no Hugley again tomorrow. My patience is growing ever thin with this saga. Mind you, Dru's second saga this year. 

I think a losing record would be heavily disappointing, but I imagine they end up somewhere around .500. I have been cringing a lot less at this team when Hugley is not on the floor… maybe it’s for the greater good.

Edit: I misread that as Davidson +1.5 and thought a 5 point shift in that short a time is unheard of without some kind of major news. Still happy to see the money going the Dukes way, but 2 points isn’t that unusual.

Berman family and Steph Curry gave Davidson 10 million$$$ for NIL. That is huge for a mid major A10 program.

 A "troubled talent" needs dumped the moment the troubles return. Not strung along for weeks while entering your true start to the season.

Not sure how many times I have to say it but apparently a few of you have difficulty understanding it.

His reasons for being out is irrelevant. I could not care less as to what the why is for his absence. I don't need to know anything about his situation. All I know is, he is not with the team and it needs decided immediately if he is with them or not. Are we going to have 18 more press conferences with "no comment" as the response. 

Does that make sense or are you going to miss the point again?

I've heard your point but don't agree.  You can sit down now and mind your own business and let the team handle their own issues.  I trust a coach that respects a player's privacy without blame.  

Watch the game and not the drama. Or tune into "The Pitt"... it's a good show with plenty of drama. 

By the way, this really needs to all be in a separate thread so we can focus on Davidson.

Dukes have bigger concerns than Hughley.  I didn’t see him influencing many games at all against a strong team when he played. 

We need defense, we need Dixon to stop fouling so much, and need to get Jake n Max more time. This year, like last year, I look at our games and wonder if we have a chance to win. It’s a feeling I had 4, 5, n 6 years ago.

Sure wish we could go into a game and think we “should” win. This is Dru year 2 and I’m still giving him 5 years.

My apologies to the forum and to the individual who felt that I told him to "shut up".  I've been on this board long enough to remember a coach who delivered the best records in generations fired and replaced by a man half his ability because of others second guessing him and not trusting his off the floor management of the team.  
As a former player and coach, I've seen the damage of going public with a personal issue rather than resolving it with the respect and confidentiality it deserved.

LET'S GO DUKES AND BRING HOME A ROAD WIN TONIGHT!!

I don't need to know the details of the Hugley situation. I do need to know if he is on the team, off the team, or be given a timeline for when a decision on this matter will be made.

Providing such basic information is neither in poor taste nor likely to create any legal issues for either party. Failing to do so in a timely manner alienates a percentage of the most loyal fans & reinforces the school's lackluster reputation for handling sensitive issues. Also, I can’t imagine the roster uncertainty is doing the team's morale any good.

All the numbers point to a close game. I just fear the atmosphere will be too much for us. We've never won at their place, and they probably haven't ever had as much riding on one of those games. I'll say 78-72 Davidson. Let's go Dukes! Prove me wrong again.

Lucky, we haven’t won an away game all year. I hope we don’t get blown out!  I’ll be glad to eat those words.
