Mykel Bruce-McCrommon Visited This Week

Stateennsylvania
School:Gateway
Club: The Scoring Factory Elite
6'7" wing 2026
#17 rated player in PA overall #4 SF

PREP HOOPS MOST RECENT EVALUATION
The top-ranked unsigned prospect in the entire rankings, Bruce-McCrommon has as high an upside as almost anybody in the state and has made notable strides this year toward putting it all together. Averaging north of 20 points per game for a Gateway team off to an 8-5 start, he's a strikingly smooth wing scorer with alluring shotmaking ability from all over the floor. Bruce-McCrommon shows the ability to both create his own shot or slide off-ball and find his offense within the flow. He has interest from a wide range of D1 programs, with the possibility of a prep year also being in play to work on his body and add further experience given that he'll graduate at just 17 years old.

CALIPARI WAS SNIFFING AROUND LAST SUMMER
– 2026 Mykel Bruce-McCrommon (6-6 wing, Pittsburgh, Pa.) began drawing Arkansas recruiting interest over the past couple of weeks with a couple of Calipari’s — Head Hog John and staffer Brad — going courtside on different occasions to watch him compete in Made Hoops circuit events spanning both July live eval periods (July 10-13 and July 17-20). Bruce-McCrommon told Hogville on Monday that he does not yet have a visit scheduled to Arkansas. He’s receiving some Division 1 interest, including from hometown high-major Pitt of the ACC. Calipari vaguely referenced a developmental, long-term retention prospect that he was venturing out to see when he spoke with reporters following the Razorbacks’ basketball practice that was open to the media on July 9, and a couple of days later he was in Oaks, Pa., to watch Buce-McCrommon play. It is not certain whether Arkansas is considering him as part of its 2026 recruiting class, or as a re-class candidate to 2025 that would potentially complete the current ’25-26 roster, although it seems most likely it would be for class of 2026. Current confidence level on a scale of 1-to-10 that Calipari can win Bruice-McCrommon over in the end: 10.0 IF CALIPARI CHOOSES TO FULLY PURSUE HIM.

Iona appears to be his only current offer.
