SB plays such a short bench that I'd like our bigs drive to the hoop early to get their bigs in foul trouble.

How Frank Mitchell performs will definitely be a key factor in the result tomorrow. Can’t let their guards start playing with the confidence and swagger they had at the Coop either.

Cool graphic with some stats for both teams:

Need this one big time.

Agree. Necas and Dixon need to come out strong and drive to the hoop. They have both been slow at the start. Both need to step up big time tomorrow.

If the Dukes win tomorrow the double bye is a HUGE possibility. Big IF though. GET IT DONE!

I can't imagine a bigger game against a team who's 3-8 in conference. A win not only keeps the momentum we've built going, but greatly increases our chances at the double bye. A loss kills any momentum and could be disastrous to team morale.
I'm really torn trying to pick this one. This Bonnies team is one we should beat, but I thought the same thing last time and was obviously wrong then. That game and the last time out against GW are the two outliers since the defensive turnaround began a month ago. Getting Mitchell in foul trouble again would be huge, but again I think tempo will be a big part in deciding the game. I expect a 40 minute battle, but I like the grit the Dukes have shown. I'll say Duquesne 82 St. Bonaventure 80.

Game Day! The Duquesne Road Warriors back in action! Winners of three straight, the Dukes looks to keep it going & hit the Reilly Center hungry—lock down defense, attack relentlessly, & grab this one from the Bonnies on Valentine's Day! Heart, hustle, fight, victory! Dukes Up 🏀

Let’s go Dukes!

That's a good half. Strong start to next half would go a long way to getting the W. Slow start and we be sweating again.

Bonnies board saying very small student turnout.

So much for the fast second half start. Two terrible unforced turnovers.

ALEX AND JIMMIE WILLIAMS IN THE CLUTCH!!!

What a shot !!! Very big win. We should have beat them the first game, but since then, DJ's Dukes have found THE way to win !!

Too close for comfort but Williams squared made the shots when they mattered. Always nice winning at St. Bonaventure. Let's keep this training rolling through March!

Ugly second half, but the win wouldn’t have been as sweet if it was by 10. What a shot by Williams to seal it!!

This team is reminding me more and more of the magic we had 2 years ago.

We bring out the best in Bona. This was two resilient teams in a dog fight.

We can win the A-10 in Pittsburgh this year. DJ seams to have figured out the balance of O and D and exactly who should play and when. This game was that balance. Most teams lose on the road. But, DJ's team seems to be the road warrior. That's likely the coaching . To me, I think it bodes well to think they have a good chance , in the A-10 tourney.

Trib Review Story very good with quotes from Coach Joyce. My question is who is writing the story? Does the Trib send a reporter on the road? Let’s face it the PG ignores the Dukes when they play on the road. Story by “Trib Live a mystery. Good story & coverage very good but who is the mystery reporter, AI🤣

Not much noise hear for such a huge victory. The Dukes showed incredible grit and resilience on the road, pulling off a thrilling 78-73 victory over St. Bonaventure! This win extends Duquesne's hot streak to four straight victories, marks their sixth win in the last eight games, and sets a new school record with their fourth consecutive Atlantic 10 road triumph. What a testament to the team's toughness as road warriors—they built a big first-half lead, weathered a furious Bonnies comeback, and sealed it with clutch plays down the stretch. Jimmie Williams was electric with 19 points, including a dagger 3-pointer in the final seconds to ice the game, while Alex Williams hit a key trey to regain the lead and Tarence Guinyard added 18 points. The Dukes drained shots from deep and held firm defensively when it mattered most. Huge momentum builder for Duquesne (now 15-10 overall, 7-5 in A-10 play)—these guys are playing with heart and confidence heading into the stretch run. Dukes Up 🏀

Great nail-biting win last night. I loved hearing Ray's call when Jimmie Williams nailed the long 30 footer with 14 seconds left to seal the win. Ray does belong on Duquesne's recent Mt. Rushmore (Good call Bob).
It's nice to wake up with a cup of coffee in the after glow of a win like that and see the Dukes tied for a spot for the double bye in 4th place. Still down about how we lost to St. Joes but I'll take the place we are in right now over the 9th place finish predicted. St. Joseph finishes with a much easier schedule than we do.
Looking forward to La Salle at the Coop on Wednesday. Hope for a good turnout. This team deserves it!
