Let's fill those seats this year. 

That is a terrible picture of the Coop.  It looks ridiculously small from that angle and camera lens used.  It doesn't show the upper deck on the one side at all and the lens distortion makes the rest look tiny.  

I agree that 4,000 could have been done with some imagination.  Both Rooney Field and the Coop are small and don't present the best major university atmosphere to fans or recruits.  Especially Rooney, the smallest D-1 stadium in the nation!

By the way, why didn't they touch up the student section lighting when they did the rest?  The same old plain bleachers and florescent tube lighting doesn't attract students.

Build it right and they will come.

Yeah agreed. We can't even sell out the Coop at its current capacity. I don't see what adding more seats would do aside from waste money and lessen the game day atmosphere.

Dayton can talk. They’re the only D1 game in a minor league town unless they want to claim that Wright State offers some sort of meaningful competition. Pretty easy to sell out when you’re the primary sports destination for your MSA.

Important to note that they don't just sell out at home, they travel (a distance) to Pittsburgh and out-shout the Duquesne fans.
