Guinyard Is Back

Re: Guinyard Is Back

That's fantastic news! He was probably our best player last year, and even with the lawsuit going the players' way I figured he was gone. The talk here was that it was between going to Dayton or staying on the bluff, and the tweet mentions even bigger programs that were interested. PT may have been part of the decision, but he wouldn't be coming back if he wasn't happy last season. At the end of the day, whatever it takes to beat out the big dogs I'll take it. Welcome back TG and Go Dukes!

Busting Brackets article lists Demir as a Duke.

Re: Guinyard Is Back

With Guinyard back and Demir apparently on the roster, I feel like this team has a chance to be special. Go Dukes! Maybe I'll renew those season tickets after all...

Re: Guinyard Is Back

If Demir pans out, him and Guinyard along with some of the other guys brought in, should provide us with a nice team.   I'm interested in seeing Stephen Olowoniyi play.   He looks long and athletic in the clips I saw in instgram.

Re: Guinyard Is Back

3 Bid League released an “emergency podcast” this morning addressing the Guinyard signing. Very interesting and worth a listen.

Re: Guinyard Is Back

So I listened and while there were things I liked hearing I’m left truly puzzled about the state of mbb and athletics as a whole.

Granted it’s summer and I have not paid full attention to mbb at all.

I had no idea Hall or DiMichele have not been officially announced as returning.  This along with Demir just makes it so puzzling to understand what we have.

Great for TG returning.

The talk of the direction of mbb with the new President and interim AD still has me puzzled.   RMU had a fairly successful AD just surprisingly “quit” and a new AD chosen after a search in the space of 2 months.

Nothing against Henderson who still has the interim tag.  With no clue as to whether he is a placeholder with a search being conducted or just having an on the job tryout, we are just always made to guess about everything.

Since no search has been announced, it is apparent he was just given the job.   He can go on to be a great success but just anointing someone to this position with his background seems puzzling at best.

I’m going back to my summer now.

Re: Guinyard Is Back

Was this how Guinyard and others were allowed to play another year?

A federal judge denied the NCAA's motion to pause the injunction granting a fifth eligibility year to 2022 athletes.

It's the NCAA's first legal loss in its appeal, and Judge Sweeney didn't mince words, calling its no irreparable harm argument "Nonsense."
