A lot of Duquesne students are from the pittsburgh area and grew up thinking the panthers was just as much their team as the steelers, penguins, and pirates. They still follow pitt athletics like they go to school there. I don't know if that that is a failure of alumni who do not support and therefore when their children go to Duquesne they continue not to support or if is a direct result of 30 years of terrible college basketball.

Of course you should always support the school you are attending while you go there at the very least. From trying to get people to go with me for 6 years I can say that the most common excuses people gave me were:

1. I am too busy with studying
2. I have something else going on (sorority/fraternity/tests/meetings/rehearsals/peformance) Why there has been pharmacy exams on city game nights in the past just blows my mind by the way.
3. Duqesne has a basketball team?
4. I'd rather watch my show on TV
5. We are girly girls and dont like sports
6. I am going to the Pitt panthers game/ Penguins game tonight
7. I don't wanna go/ Too lazy/ its cold

A-10 championship vs. Temple no band cheerleaders & bus.c'mon man accept failure thats the Duquesne way. Blame it on the students get it done or time for a change its that easy!
