Pitt fired Pederso-Any chance our Pres has strength to fire Amodio?

This fourth or is it fitth (not that I care) coach leaving at Pitt is what did it.  Do we have to wait until Ferry's contract is up or gets fired?  Obviously, no one is going to be asking him to come and coach anywhere.

I think if the season plays out like the disaster it currently is, Greg would have a hard time surviving. With Pitt firing SP for many of the same reasons Greg is disliked, the press is going to start asking the hard questions. They are not going to fire Ferry with 3 years left on his deal, (doing so would cost too much money, and would really be a red flag for any replacement, as it would signal that Duquesne isn't willing to give a coach time) so Greg will be the obvious choice.

Was Amodio extended at the end of last season?

Ya know duqkurt, that is the million dollar question.  No one knows and it seems like no one can find out.  Plus, the idea that DU won't tell anyone speaks loudly of their understanding of the dislike toward the AD.

Dont worry about the cost, Duquesne did not pay off Everhart, they told him no once hired at wvu due to being gainfully employed. so he had to take a settlemen or suet, not near what was due. This is deeper than anyone knows.

That may all be true, but firing a coach after 3 years makes it very difficult to get someone to come here. It will look like we're not willing to give a coach time to implement his program. Now, if the team totally collapses (say, 6-24), then you might be able to get away with it.
