Athlon's
Athlon's is out. I'm sure some won't like it, but they pick the Dukes to finish 10th, and describe the program as being "on the rise".

When you're the Ed Norton of college basketball, anything above the sewer is "looking up." What else could they say about Duquesne? After sucking for three years, the program is facing a tough year. Wouldn't be able to sell the magazine to the 12 remaining fans.
I won't even read any of the preview stuff any more. I haven't for three years. Of course the program is looking up; it's looking up at the rest of the conference, Pitt and Bobby Mo.
Football starts tonight. That's where my mind is now. And I still have a pennant race going in the AL East. So, I'll check back again in a few months.

Bottom line Ferry needs to win this year. With three senior starters there are no excuses for a losing season. If he can't win this year there is no hope for him ever getting DU to the top of the League and the NCAA.

Screw the AL East. You got the best division in baseball in the NL Central.
