Baker Dunleavy

The Villanova assistant that some thought should be considered for the DU job has been hired at Quinnipiac.

A sportswriter in Long Island (pronounced Lawn Guyland) talked about former Fordham coach Tom Pecora and one time UMass star Mike Babul (assistant at Wagner) as candidates. Jim Ferry was mentioned as a possible candidate to go back to the Brooklyn (pronounced Bru-ka-Leen) school.

Re: Baker Dunleavy

That's a pretty good get for them,he's supposedly turned down head coaching offers in the past. On the plus side, at least his name was never linked with Duquesne, that would be pretty embarrassing. Based on the names we have heard, I suspect Harper's only considering candidates with prior D1 head coaching experience.

Dunno, Dennis. Tough to pick out what's real from what's reported.
