Why no "City Game" in Soccer?

The Dukes played Pitt in and exhibition game in August to open the season.  Why wasn't Pitt on the men's non-conference schedule?  The women played the city game this year losing 2-0.

Makes no sense.

Robert Morris is on the Duke's non-conference schedule.

Re: Why no "City Game" in Soccer?

in the positions they are in, neither team probably wants to waste a game for this. college soccer is weird in that aspect. also, pitt is a lot better than duquesne--the dukes have never beaten them.

fwiw pitt played penn state in preseason as well. you'd think that'd be marquee for both teams for that to count.
