Re: 2019 Verbal Commits Complete Transfer List

Again today, already 3 more A10 guys leaving conference, and a few are big and young, 6'10'' cats.

Bynum leaves St Joes.  Big loss for them.
Charlie Brown is supposed to enter NBA draft as well, St Joes will be down to nothing next year.

Just randomly looking around that transfer list, one kid that stuck out was Nate Sestina from Bucknell, 6-9, 245 lbs, PF, averaged 15.8 ppg and 8.5 rpg, 78% FT.   Grad transfer.  Put up nice stats vs 3 A10 teams this year.

Wouldnt mind adding that to our team, if the chance arrives.

Geez, was I off, dude is going to Kentucky.

Grad transfer rule is just a thinly veiled opportunity for the same winning programs that already attract the best recruits to pluck players from struggling Mid-majors who can ill afford to lose quality players.  It is a system that consistently rewards the elites when their stars declare for the NBA they can fill holes by recruiting from other D-1 schools.  Feed the elite; they are always hungry for more talent.  The rest get the scraps!  This is not a rule that will typically help the A-10 level schools;but mostly detract from them.

Because of this rule, you really can't do much redshirting unless the player is totally unready to play as a freshman. Otherwise, you're just developing a player for a P5 school down the road. Theoretically, the grad transfer rule should also result in P5 bench warmers transferring down to lesser programs as seniors, but the fact is that most of those transfer down before their senior year.

Big fellow from Bucknell is going to Kentucky -  Local kid Warfield (?) whom DU had interest in early is going to Liberty.
