NAPLES, Fla. – The Atlantic 10 Conference voted unanimously this week to expand its men’s and women’s basketball championship bracket to include all members. The decision was made as part of the league’s annual spring meetings, which concluded today. Conducted over the last four days, A-10 athletic directors, head men's and women's basketball coaches, conference partners and representatives from the NCAA discussed conference business as well as national issues. The meetings resulted in a significant number of meaningful decisions voted into policy by the A-10 Directors of Athletics. Did anyone see the ACC is thinking about moving their tourney to NYC, and made mention of a new arena to play in. Would have to think thats the Brooklyn Nets arena, where, the A10 is having theirs now.

A-10 Expands Basketball Championship for 2014
The championship expands from previous years when only the top 12 teams qualified. The move means every member (13 teams in 2014) will compete in their respective championships , further strengthening the partnership between Atlantic 10 and the Barclays Center, which recently completed the first year in a long-term contract between the league and Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment.
The Athletic Directors approved an 18-game conference schedule for men’s basketball beginning in 2014-15. The scheduling model will allow for more conference contests, the continuation of rivalries and the opportunity to enhance the marketing and branding for the A-10.

Re: A-10 Expands Basketball Championship for 2014
Can the ACC just outbid the A10 for that arena? Or would there be a contract in place with the A10 that would not allow the ACC there until that contract runs out?
