Re: Dukes Are #8 In This FCS Ranking

I don’t know what formulas they use to rank their teams but aside from where they have the Dukes, it looks pretty consistent to other national computer ratings.  Sagarin and RPI both have the Dukes at about 160 with all D-1 (FBS and BCS) and this one has them at 123.

The Dukes actually lost ground in the Coach’s Poll prior to Merrimack since the Ohio win with the off week and then the non-D-1 game against Virginia Lynchburg.

Coaches and STATS Poll may not realize how hearty the win against Merrimack was since they beat a ranked Holy Cross and almost took down Maine.  I don’t think this win will get them all the way into the top 25.

That last give away TD against TCU didn’t help.  I know it was a shortened game but most BCS teams would have given up 30+.

Way to go Dukes!!   This could be a special year.

Re: Dukes Are #8 In This FCS Ranking

The Cosgrove CFP ranking seems a bit more relative to others with the Dukes at #15 in FCS alone.  I’d say they’re about right but what do I know.
