It is time again to get on the record predicting the total number of Duquesne wins this season (including A-10 Tournament play). The winner will receive the fabulous no expense paid prize of a two night stay in beautiful downtown McKeesport, Pa (meals, transportation, and accomodations not included). All entries must be received by midnight November 8th. The tiebreaker will be the number of points scored by the Dukes in the A10 tournament.

The total possible number of Non Conference games are 13
The total possible League games are 18

Therefore the total possible number of wins before A10 Tournament are 31

To this total add the numer of A10 tournament wins for the total number of wins for contest purposes

Here is my prediction:

The Dukes will go 11-2 in the Non Conference
The Dukes will go 13-5 in the League finish 2nd and get a double bye
Combined 24-7
Two A10 Tournament wins: 26 total wins before for contest

Tie breaker 160 points in two game winning the A10 championship

I'm going to one up you, old friend, and go with 27 total wins. I'm agreeing with your non-conference and conference marks but I say 3 wins in the A-10 tournament to grab the automatic bid. 240 points as a tie breaker.

Can I spend 2 nights in McKeesport's 10th Ward instead of downtown? It's so nice by the sewage treatment plant.

I went to Bishop Boyle so I prefer Homestead and we rarely if ever lost to Serra in football or hoops Haha! The Dukes will win 10 OOC 11 conference and 2 tournament games 23 total. They will score 156 points! Good luck all and I want to go to Dukes on 8th Ave when our Dukes win 23! 😀

Just for you my friend. If you win, in full celebration mode of making the NCAA tournament, maybe courtesy of one of our loyal posters we may throw in a case of Duquesne Pilsner.

This sounds more realistic than some of the 27-or-so win predictions. But I'd go as far as 20 or more wins. A lot of losses can be very competitive, which this team should be.

I just dont know that much about the team and the conference other than its St Bona's world and we are all just living in it, but I would say that my prediction should be the floor. I would hope we can get a few more wins. 20 wins would be nice, and possibly snag a NIT bid if things go right.

I’ll say 8-5 and 10-8 with one win in the Tournament. That would be 19-14 with Total points at 147.

Hey Judge Jack, is there any record of who came up with the nickname Boyle Lancers? Whenever I heard that reference, I smiled. I was a Mon Valley Catholic Spartan. Our venerable high school is now an assisted living community.
