GREAT BALLS OF FIRE -- This Finish was CRAZY -- WAY TO GO CLARKIII 😳 This whole game had upset written all over it, but that last shot was fantastic! That was one of the worst officiated games I have ever watched. Would have been even worse if we didn’t walk away with the win! What a thriller! They took the 3 pointer away from us on an inadvertent whistle? I was thinking at that point, watch us need that 3 points at the end of the game. I love the poise, togetherness & maturity of this team! It is thrilling to see their positive attitude & winning ways create some good fortune. Phantom fouls, blocking calls on charges and vice versa. Kudos to the shooter and the coach for not getting a "T" after the 3-pointer was taken away. Indeed, the Great Ghost in Alive!!!! This is the second time the Great Ghost has interceded for a Dukes W--Tevin Brewer's runner in the lane and Jimmy Clark's prayer that was answered. An ESPN top tenner if I ever saw one! Amazing finish! It was a lot of fun to be at Cooper Fieldhouse today! I've always said, if you can't by 2 or more, win by 1. This was a great win even if it wasn’t against a great team. I’m not going to lie, I definitely was thinking in the first half “here we go again.” Even with a relatively young team nobody panicked though. Grant was out of rhythm because of foul trouble and because humans don't shoot .55/.56/.90 for an entire season.
I think Ball State would finish somewhere between 12th & 9th in the A-10.
Winning this game despite missing Reese & an unhealthy amount of foul trouble against a hot-shooting, quality opponent has me very impressed.
The officiating was incredibly poor. I don't think one team benefitted disproportionately but, the refs were historically bad.
The perimeter defense needs work. The continued high shooting percentages by opponents from 3 is not a coincidence. I think too much is being asked of Williams to challenge deep shots while avoiding fouls, the two little point guards don't provide enough resistance, & the weakside help is dropping too deep in the paint.

The refs were bad but I’m glad they missed Clark traveling pretty plainly on his 3 to win.

Good teams win these kind of games, teams that compete for championships. We're a long, long way from that at this point, but it's sure nice to take a step in that direction.

This team is clearly our most talented in quite some time, but it also may be our most mature. They love playing together and have bought in to Dambrot’s defense first philosophy. Without that maturity, dedication, and contributions from all nine guys we don’t pull this one out. Overcoming injuries, foul trouble, poor officiating (although it probably helped us as much as it hurt), and an off game from our best player (I’m hoping it was just an off game and Grant isn’t sick or hurt) to get a W is a great sign for this team. You could tell how much both teams wanted this one, but good teams find ways to win even when they don’t have their A game and that’s exactly what the Dukes did today.

Too many times those buzzer beaters destroy us.
So satisfying to win one of our own.
When Grant has an off night and we get others to step up and win it’s a good sign.
Kudos to coach Dambrot and staff to manage the foul trouble very effectively.
Reece looked pretty good in warm ups and we definitely need his help going forward.
I love the energy from the crowd and students really into an entertaining and nail biting game! First time this year (hopefully not the last) we heard the loud”Let’s Go Dukes Chant”
All I can say is after many years I can honestly say
“It’s great to be a Dukes Fan”
